You'll find out most holidays were originally pagan then became Christian in the attempts to demolish the Pagan religions. Remember, The Church has a past of blood and distruction. Look at the actions of early Christians, and see the masses of people persecuted in God's name. If God saw the way his followers have killed and destroyed, he'd be ashamed of the atrocities performed in his name. If you judge the actions of early Pagans, then why can't you judge the actions of early Christians? You judge them for the exact same thing.
