The Lord will fight for you

Our war is uniquely tied to our love, obedience and submission to God. We are able to win every struggle when we are connected with our Lord.

“Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you.18 And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell before the LORD, worshiping the LORD. 19 And the Levites, of the children of the Kohathites, and of the children of the Korhites, stood up to praise the LORD God of Israel with a loud voice on high.”(2 Chronicles 20:17-20).

“Believe in the WORD of the Lord your God, and believe in his law, and believe in his prophets; and ye shall prosper.” Here the WORD and the revelation are most pointedly distinguished; the Word being used personally. (2 Chronicles 20:20).

We are reminded to stand in faith joined to Jesus. “As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in Him: Rooted and built up in Him, and established in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in Him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily,” (Colossians 2:6-9).

In order for a believer to be consistently led of the Holy Spirit, and thereby, be continually sowing to the Spirit, they must of necessity, be filled with the Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth.

  • Thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!” (1 Corinthians. 15:57).
  • You are to cling to the Lord your God… for the Lord your God is He who fights for you, just as He promised you. So take diligent heed to… love the Lord our God.” (Joshua 23:5-11).
  • Our God, wilt thou not judge them? For we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee. 13 And all Judah stood before the LORD, with their little ones, their wives, and their children.”(2 Chronicles 20:12-13, 12).
