Your Father the Devil

Play

John 8:42, — “Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.”

Jesus is speaking to a group of people here who were separated from Him because they belonged to another god, and were not true Believers. He clearly shows these people are not being able to receive Him or His anointed because they were living under a different spirit and power, their “father the devil.” He clearly shows that they persecuted Him because there of the spiritual separation of the being under the influence of their god whom he names as “Ye are of your father the devil.”Jesus then sets forth the evil activities of the people who were imitators of their father the Devil. They worship this false god and copied his evil ways.

John 8:44-47, “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. 45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not. 46 Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me? 47 He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.”KJV

The next verse is very important for true believers to understand. Unbelievers that follow another god cannot understand or hear the Lord’s Word. They only understand the lies of their father. In John 8:43, “Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.”.[Why do ye not understand my speech?] Teen lalian teen emeen, This my mode of speaking-when illustrating spiritual by natural things: Lalia refers to the manner of speaking; logos, to the matter or subject on which he spoke. [Because ye cannot hear my word.] That is, ye cannot bear my doctrine: it comes too close to you; it searches your hearts, detects your hypocrisy, and exposes your iniquitous intentions and designs; and as ye are determined not to leave your sins, so ye are purposed not to hear my doctrine.

Sin Unspeakable Darkness in the Church

The Bible speaks clearly, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In All thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths,” (Prov. 3:5).

Recognizing the truth about oneself paves the way for freedom. Every Christian has a fleshly body and God is specific about how He feels about the behavior of the flesh in such scriptures as: (Gal. 5:17; Rom. 8:7,8; and Jude 23), which says: “. . . hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.”

Our own understanding is corrupt, selfish, self-centered and it doesn’t matter that we’ve been born again and Christ’s blood applied to our heart.

  • Our reasoning remains untrustworthy!
  • Our human understanding is suspicious, fearful.
  • Our understanding rises with anger, bitterness, fighting, abuse of family members, etc.
  • All impure thoughts, vile affections and desires which do not become overt actions are real acts of the inner man.

(Phil. 2:12), Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.”

David was a man of God who hated sin with everything in him.

  • “. . . . I hate every false way,” ( Psa. 119:104).
  • “Ye that love the Lord, hate evil . . . .” (Psa. 97:10).
  • Yet he committed adultery with Bathsheba and sent her husband to his death to battle!
  • Bathsheba “. . . mourned for her husband,” (2 Sam. 11:26).
  • David’s sin had “displeased the Lord,” (verse 27).
  • He seduced Bathsheba, planned her husband’s death, deceived her by acting as if he was doing the right thing (marrying her after he’d impregnated her).
  • Ten months after the affair, God sent Nathan the prophet to deal with David’s sin, (2 Sam. 12).

Sin is a tie that only Jesus can Break Through Deliverance

Frances Manuel gives us this useful summation: “We do have clear and plain teaching regarding the demons themselves. Demons in vast numbers constitute a part of Satan’s hierarchy and fight in his army. They are spiritual beings without bodies of their own, hence they seek embodiment; they have supernatural power and strength. They are not omniscient, but are creatures of cunning intellect and given to deceits and wiles. They are unclean, corrupt, and bent on destruction and ruin. They degrade the bodies they invade and possess, whether of animals or men. They tremble at the Word of God and have to bow to the authority of Jesus Christ whether exerted directly by Him or by those to whom. He delegated the authority.

“But I fear lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtlety, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For it he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom, we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him,” (2 (Cor. 11: 3-4).

Preaching Jesus Christ Crucified

Play

The Apostle Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 1:23, to seek God. We preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumbling block and unto the Greeks foolishness; but unto them which are called, but Jews and Geeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.” Jesus came down to earth and lived among men. Jesus also suffered, was crucified and the He died on the Cross for us. You can find Him when seek for Him with all your heart. Many no longer preach about the cross of Jesus or the importance of His sacrifice. Jesus said, if I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto me. The problem we face today is, millions have been drawn away to receive another spirit other than the Spirit they had previously received (1 Cor. 11: 4). Paul reproved these Corinthian Christians for receiving another Spirit.

The Corinthians had cheerfully accepted a man that came preaching a different Jesus than the Jesus that Paul preached and had turned from the good news to a different message they had originally accepted. Paul asked in amazement, “Who had bewitched the believers to draw them away from the truth.” The consequence upon them was not just the influence of receiving wrong mental impressions conveyed by counterfeit and deceptive teachers, but transformations of their faith caused by evil spirits imposing false doctrines through false teachers, (Galatians 3:1). They had changed. They were religious, but had a new agenda. They had become the New Age People of their day, bewitched by the paranormal, magical words of a false prophet; changed into another kingdom. They once were saved but now they were lost.

1 John 4:4-6, — “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. 5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. 6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.”
